号数のよる価格表／誤解に嫌になって４

号いくら、という昔の絵画価格の呼び方があります。

今は、オークションの時代で、

あまり意味はありませんが、

しかし、まだ使われますので、

その素人による誤解を指摘しておきます。

「号３万円」と言った場合、

その意味は、１号の絵が３万円で、

６号の絵は、１８万円であるということを、

意味しません。

そういう単純計算ではないのです。

「号３万円」というのは、

１０号の作品は、３０万円であるということを意味しています。

そして１０号以下の作品は、号あたりは割高になっていきます。

反対に１０号以上の作品は、号あたりが割安になっていきます。

そこで、その割高になってく、そういうグラデーションのサイズと価格の表を作ります。

反対に１０号以上では、割安になっていく表を作るのです。

この作業は、きわめて難しく、めんどくさいものであります。

その理由をここでかくのも、難しいのです。

ですので、略します。

繰り返しますと、ですから号３万円の場合には、

６号では１８万円ではないのです。

もっと高くなるものなのです。

こういう号数での価格に対する誤解からの批判もたくさん聞いていますが、

そのどれも、誤解による間違いです。

ここでその議論を繰り返したくはありません。
