狩野永徳／皇居美術館の収蔵作品(2) [アート論]
『皇居美術館空想』という本は、
当初、朝日選書の１冊としてということで、
文字だけの本という企画でしたが、
編集の高橋伸児さんが、
朝日の社内の会議で、展覧会カタログのような図版のある本という企画を出して、
それが通ったのです。
ですので、カラー図版がつきます。
作品選択は、数を減らすこともあって、
〈超1流〉だけでなくて、
〈超1流〉〈超1流〉〈超1流〉という３段階の高度なものだけに絞りました。
〈象徴界〉〈想像界〉〈現実界〉の３つの眼で見て、
すべて〈超1流〉というものです。
本当の名品だと思います。
この基準ですと、
狩野永徳で見ても、
３点に絞られます。

《織田信長像》
ずいぶん厳しい選択です。
橋本治さんが『ひらがな日本美術史』で取りあげていた
唐獅子図は、〈超1流〉〈1流〉〈1流〉ということで、
