昨日は、ザ・マーケットというオークションが開催されて、
白濱 雅也さんが見てきたらしくて、
メールをくれた。

今日 Marketというオークションの後半を見学（？）してきま
した。
そのあとは川俣展のボランティアさんたちの宴に顔合わせ的に
合流。

100万単位で競りあがる作品売買の現場と学生合コンのような
飲み会とアートの現場の両極を見た思いでした。

そのメンバーは、
全員を知りはしないが、
何人かは知っていて、
日本の中では、
それなりに力のある商売人である。

まあ、しかし市場というのは、
基本的にはコスモスではない。

前にも書いたが、
人類史の中で、市場の発生というのは、
人間の共同体の内部に生まれたのではなくて、
共同体と共同体の間にある、
つまりコスモスという人間秩序の外のカオスに生まれたのが、
市場である。

だから市場は、すくなくともコスモスとか、
共同体というものではないのであって、
その性格は、基本的に《汚れ》である。

私たちの生きる高度市場社会というのは、
だから基本的に共同体秩序の解体であり、
清らかさを汚濁するものであり、
カオスなのである。

このカオス性に向かって有効な方法について考えることは
重要なのだが、しかし、
それはまさにカオス理論であり、
悪貨が良貨を駆逐する、そういうものだ。
だから良くないと言っているのではなくて、
そういうものなので、
憂鬱になるのである。

憂鬱ではあるが、
弱肉強食のジャングルというのは、
正直言うと嫌いではない。

だが芸術的には、
市場は、芸術とは別のものである。
別のものが交差するから、
面白いことは面白いが、
理論の混同が起きる。

しかし市場で強いものが、
すぐれた芸術であるというものではない。

しかし逆も言えるのである。
市場に弱いものが、すぐれた芸術というわけであるのでもない。

混同と混乱、
そして錯乱の中で、
淘汰は進み、
現実は動いていく。

昨晩、白濱さんに電話して話した。
オークションの話だが、内容的にここでかける様な
何かがある訳ではない。

ただ、市場に入るのか？
入らないのか？
という話になると、

白濱さんの答えは、曖昧になる。

市場に入るのは、実は簡単んなのである。
入ろうとすれば良いのである。
入ろうと意思しない限りは、入れない。
ただそれだけなのだが、
問題は、そのことができないのである。

しかしそれは白濱さんだけでなくて、
実に多くの人がそうである。

その理由は、実は哲学的に深い問題がある。

美術というのは、実は一つではなくて
多様である。
問題はこの多様性をきちんと認識して、
その認識に耐えられる主体を立ち上げられるかである。
つまり複数の事象を認識できる主体自体が無いと無理なのである。

多くの人は、自分に都合の良い美術しか見ていない。

都合の良い面だけで美術を見てしまうと、
そういう不完全な主体しか成立できなくなってしまう。

実際白濱さんは、抽象美術史の系譜は、リアルに見て来ていない。
自分の好きな具象系の美術史だけで美術を見て来ている。
同様に美術を形成して来ている経済的な面の持つ本質を理解しようとして来ていない。

つまりトータルな美術を、
トータルな多様性で見ること自体が、
強い主体を要求するのである。

市場というのは、
美術だけでないのだが、
市場を含んだ世界の多様性を直視するのは、
多様なものをそれぞれ認識できる一つの主体が要求されるのであって、
この主体が確立できないのである。

まあ、そういう訳で、
市場に入ろうとする作家は、実はそれほど多くないのである。
１０人中８人は，市場に入りたいとは思わないのである。
１０人中２人くらいが、市場に入るのだが、
それがすぐれているアーティストという訳でもないのである。

村上隆さんが芸術起業論で明確に語ったのはそういうことなのである。
言い換えれば、ひどいあ＾ティストでも、市場に入ることはできるのである。
本人さえ意思すれば・・・。

意識を開くというのは、
自分のことを考えても、なかなかできないことではある。

しかし開くこと、
嫌なことを見ること出作り出す新しい主体が、重要であると言える。

多くの人が、
意識を閉じて、見たいものしか見ていないことが
見える。

驚くほどに、人は、
意識を閉ざしているのである。

見ないようにしている。

クラシックを聴いている人は、
ポップスや、
ロックを聴かない。
昔、Ｂゼミという小さな横浜の美術学校で教えていたときにも、
このクラシックしか聴かない子は、何人もいて、
良いのだがしかし、
現実を生きていく基本的なエネルギーや、
現代美術家をやっていく基本的な闘争力に欠けていた。

かといってロックやポップスしか聴かない人も困ったもので、
だいたいそういう人には〈想像界〉の人格しかなくて、
〈象徴界〉の精神が欠けているから、
クラシックや現代音楽の鑑賞芸術を鑑賞することができない。
ハイアートが分からないのである。

しかしだからこそ、
と言うべきか、
意識を開いて、見たくないものを見ていくのは、
至難の業である。

時間的な順番では、まず、
一番やりたくないものを、
しかも中心部分を、
まず、最短でやってしまう。
これが重要である。

さて、嫌なことをやろう！
