建築のコンペティションとその結果を見て

五十嵐太郎さんから、
以下のようなコンペの転送メールが来た。

群馬県庁建築住宅課の新井です。
群馬県では、首都圏における情報発信・収集拠点として、
ぐんま総合情報センター（仮称）の開設を進めています。

このたび設計者選定をするため、
「ぐんま総合情報センター（仮称）設計提案競技」の募集を
別紙概要のとおり行っています。

県内市町村では、一般公募による設計者選定は過去に数回実施されていますが、
群馬県主催では初めての試みです。

概要は添付の「ぐんま総合情報センター設計提案競技概要」をご覧ください。
また、現地見学会を22日(火)に予定しています。
スケジュールがタイトですが、このコンペに多くの方の参加をお待ちしています。

さすがに、私は全く対応できなかったが、
まわりの建築家が、何人か応募して、
2人が、第一次審査で落ちたので、
その落選案を、19日の皇居会議の後に、見に行った。

具体的な落選案を２つ見ると、
どのように建築案が作られるのか、
そして何が問題であるかが、前よりも良く分かるようになった。

感じたのは、コールハースが強いわけである。
問題は現実を見る眼であって、
現実を〈21流〉という喜怒哀楽の欲望の渦巻く超越性のない世界と見る、
コールハースの視線が、現実の建築を切り開くのに、
重要なのである。

現実の〈21流〉的な把握と、施主の欲望に垂直に切り込めて、
しかも建築家自身の欲望と、建築の流行へ、
垂直に切り込んでいるかである。

垂直にというのは、
正確な言い方ではないが、
ラカン的には、〈想像界〉で考えていると、
どうしても問題の中心を外れて、
４５度の傾斜のついた鏡があって、反射して滑ってしまうのである。

この反射を避けて、
直接に問題に肉薄できるようになる精神的な技術が必要なのである。

かなり現実的に建築というものが分かってきたと思った。

現実には一級建築の免状がないと応募できなかった分けだから、
私に応募できるわけではないのだが、
しかし建築というのは、実は、家を具体的に建てるというゼネコン的な意味での
造家の技術ではないのである。

そうではなくて、
現実のシニフィアンの欲望を切り取り、切り込む、そうした方法と、
もう一つ建築という欲望＝シニフィエ（脳内リアリティ≒歴史参入の欲望）の提示にあるのである。

申し訳ないけれども、落選案２つには、
この基本的な２つの欲望が、薄いのである。
品が良すぎる。

コールハース的ではないというか、
〈21流〉的ではないのである。

もっと泥臭く、人間の欲動に切り込んでいく下品さと、
そしてもう一つ、脳内リアリティとしての建築史への参入の欲望が欲しい、

翻って、同じ事が美術にも言えるのであって、
そういう意味で、初期の村上隆の欧米の観客の欲望への切り込みは、鋭いと言える。
中国の〈21流〉の下品な美術にも、同じ賞賛が送り得るのである。
感化客の下品な欲望に切り込めないと、
何も始まらないのである。
ただその事だけだと、芸術的には、単に下品な売り絵であり、
何よりもデザイン・ワークでしか無いものになってしまう。
その観客への欲動への切り込みと、
アーティストの芸術への欲望が切り結ばないと面白くないのである。
