作左部さんの牛小屋、ゼロックス、三和書籍の下村さん

今日も朝早く起きて、
今日は朝から嵐の様な風と雨で、たいへんだったが、
１０時に橋本で、
白濱夫婦と作左部潮さんと待ち合わせ。

作左部潮さんは彫刻家で、
石を空中に浮かせる作品の作家。

現在も横浜のＺＡＩＭで展示している。
以下、作左部さんの、少し前のメールである。

皆様
ご無沙汰しおります。
現在横浜のＺＡＩＭで展示しております。
仕事や作品製作で極限の状態でしたので、ＤＭを送るのが
遅くなってしまいました。また住所等を検索する余裕もなく
ＤＭを送らなかった方々には申し訳ないです。

ＺＡＩＭ地下展示３１日５時頃まで
野外展示はしばらくは展示する予定です。

作左部

このＺＡＩＭでの展示は、私も先日31日に見て来た。
この時も、白濱夫婦を一緒になった。
まだ、展示は続いている。

そして作左部さんは、
牛小屋という造形屋さんをやっている。
さて、本日は、
この作左部さんに制作を依頼しているFRPの建築模型彫刻の、
仕上げと、色の決定の打ち合わせである。

実は６月にマキイマサルファインアーツで、
建築家の南さんと２人展をやるのだが、
それにこのFRPの建築模型彫刻を間に合わせるので、
見に行ったのである。

プロデューサーが白濱雅也さんということもあって、
一緒に見たのである。

彫刻が複雑なフォルムで、磨きが難しいのだが、
作左部さんは、この一番難しい所を考える所から始めていて、
作業が止まってしまっていた。

私の方の考え方は、
難しい所は先送りして、
まず、機械で磨ける大きな簡単な場所から仕上げて行って、
一番難しい所は、あまり磨かないという考え方。

ミケランジェロの彫刻にしても、
全部は磨いていなくて、後ろには掘り残しすらがあるのが、
すごく良いのであって、
全部を磨き上げる必要は無いのである。

色は、下の皇居の地形部分を金色に、
そして建築模型を、パールホワイトにする事にした。
とりあえずは、まず、下塗りで白くして仕上げて行く事にする。

白濱夫婦と分かれて、
セロックスへ。
アートバイゼロックスで、報告書用に、
資料のコピーをつくる。

５時半に六本木駅で、三和書籍の下村さんと会って、
まず、本の厚さの決定。紙質で、厚さが変わるのである。

それと帯の色や、見返しの紙の色、
扉の紙、などを打ち合わせ。

さらに、あとがきの文章の打ち合わせ。

ギャラリー手の杉山さんから電話で、
６月の個展の作品の進み具合を聞かれる。
東京アートフェアの話も聞く。
東京アートフェアの話カタログは、白濱さんに見せてもらっているが、
とりとめも無くて、意味は見えない。

私は結局行かなかったけれども、
まあ、今回は見なかったのは良いのではないかと思った。
