誤解５／美術館（加筆１） [アート論]
美術館というものの歴史は略します。
言いたいのは、美術館というのは、
コレクションがあって、それは常設展示なのです。
常設展示をして、基本は動かしません。
普通、美術館の起源は１７８９年のフランス革命にあるとされますが、そこでできたフランス国立美術館、そしてルーヴル美術館の開館として語られますが、それは不十分です。
それ近代美術館の以前に、実は美術館はあるのです。
それはピラミッドの内部でも良いですし、
アルタミラの洞窟や、アジャンター石窟、敦煌莫高窟などの、洞窟美術館でも良いのです。
仏教教会も、キリスト教の教会も、他の宗教の教会も、
たくさんの美術で飾り立てていて、
美術館の原型というのは、実は近代美術館の前に存在していたのです。
王宮や城の内部も美術で飾り立てられていました。
安土桃山城もまた、美術館でありました。
アボリジ二や、アフリカやアジアの自然採取文化の呪術の世界にも、
そういう意味で美術館は存在しています。
そしてそれらの近代以前の美術館にこそ、美術館の本来の意味があるのです。
そしてそれらは、実は、常設展示であって、展示替えが無いのです。
ですからルーブル美術館やメトロポリタン美術館でも、
基本は常設展示であって、架け替えを始終するといったことは
していません。
バーンズファンデーション（＝バーンズコレクション）や、フリックコレクションといた、
有名な個人美術館にしても、
展示は固定されています。
固定された個人コレクションの常設展示にこそ、
美術館の基本があります。
水戸芸や、新国立美術館のような展示会場は、
美術館とは言わないのです。
